Our Vision: Communities where children are safe and families are strong.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month—a time to shine a light on the critical issue of child abuse and neglect. In 2023, over 11,000 children in Oregon were confirmed victims, with nearly 37% under the age of five. Tragically, 19 children in our state lost their lives due to abuse. Substance use and domestic violence remain significant risk factors in these cases.

At the Children’s Advocacy Center of Jackson County, we believe that protecting children is a year-round commitment. This April, we invite you to join us in making a difference:

Together, we can create a safer environment for every.

What We Do

We provide forensic interviews, advocacy, medical evaluation and treatment and therapeutic intervention for child abuse victims referred to our agency.
